Bjoern Eicken, Executive Sous Chef

Originally from Berlin, Bjoern studied at the University of Potsdam and began his culinary career at Kaefer’s Dachgarten in the Berlin area. After two years, he joined the Schuhbeck’s in Munich, 1 Michelin Star restaurant, as Chef de Partie.

He then journeyed to the UK for a Sous Chef position at Great Hallingbury Manor.

Once he perfected his English, Bjoern came to the United States to join the team of Thomas Henkelmann, a Relais & Chateaux property in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Bjoern joined the Royal Blues team in August of 2015 as Executive Sous Chef, and added great refinement and precision to the menu. He and his wife Marcella love the Florida climate and lifestyle.
